adding a 3rd EG4 6000, need help

Could you please provide a diagram of the system?

There are some wires and stuff but that's the main parts I have. I want to add a 3rd 6000xp but with no utility a/c input. to better balance my loads. it would have solar and a 2ct 14Kw battery, but no grid. does that make sense?

OK.

1) a single battery is small for even 2 6000XP inverters. The battery is rated for 200A continuous and two 6000XPs can draw 250A continuous.
I would not advize adding a 3rd 6000XP without adding at least one more of the wall-mount batteries.

2) Would the 3rd inverter have solar or would it be strictly to provide more peak power?

3) Hooking up the 3rd without hooking it up to the utility is certainly not the intended mode of operation. It might work, but it might throw an error if 2 of the 3 inverters see the grid but the third does not. If at all possible, I would advize adding the grid input to the 3rd unit.

If you decide to try it anyway..... let us know how it works.

I was looking to add a 2ct battery at the same time, along with solar for the new inverter. I have loads turning on that then trip the 3000W limit on one of the inverter phases. I think this is because the main inverter handles surges. I have watched this closely if I step up the load slowly I have no problems up to 8KW. that's when I stop. as well as peek loads hitting 11KW if I turn everything on. currently, I turn loads off before powering the larger loads that would push it up to 11KW. I want more of a buffer along with more solar and battery. I can run another utility. just interested in what an inverter would do with no utility power. I had a breaker on one of my inverter lines back at the main panel get turned off in error. I discovered it 2 days later but I did not have any problems.

What 120v load is causing the overload? Could you rearrange breakers to better balance the single pole loads?

If your other two have grid why can't the third? You'll have to consult the EG4 documentation but I believe last time I looked at it it syncs the frequency via the Communication cable so you should be okay

Three grid ties would allow 150a passtrhough, correct? That’s a lot of power.
