I’m trying to built a solar system for my motorhome. Been watching Will’s videos on lithium batteries. I know where I can buy Valence U27-12XP 138ah batteries used for $400 locally, and was wondering if that’s a good price. Was thinking about going with 4 100 watt panels and I have a 2000 watt inverter. The next question would be if I went with 1 or 2 batteries for my inverter would that be sufficient?d

You should size your battery bank on your power consumption needs more than on your inverter size. 1 or 2 batteries would work fine with a 2000 watt inverter. 1 or 2 batteries would work fine with 400 watts of solar, though 400 watts of solar couldn't fully charge both batteries in a day.

Regarding price, it doesn't sound like a bad price if the batteries are lightly used and still have a lot of life left in them. Check ebay for comparable prices.

According to seller these batteries have only been cycled between 5 and 50 times. And that they have been fully charged and tested. He said he had 120 for sale. I’ve checked on eBay and the price is better then I found there, plus these are local so no shipping costs, access to seller if there is any problem. I would be using this setup in a class A motorhome and installing Renogy’s DC to DC charger with MPPT. So I will be charging when driving and I always have my generator for large loads.
