thanks mate...I purchased 4 of these BMSs, but have not wired them up yet...
Have you seen this guy's videos on the Seplos BMS in operation yet?
They also use them in the Energetech battery modules:
Will's video tear of that one:
Seplos also sells a DIY battery case for the common 280Ah cells:

I like Andy cos he doesn't make me feel stupid, he manages to bring me up to speed over the video so i can handle the teccie bit at the endHe has released another video on it today.
He funny because he sort bumbles along as though he doesn’t know too much then u realise just how intelligent he is when he gets into his serious technical moments.
I have two that I just installed they both will power up go through the flashing led test and then everything shuts off. Now I have to figure out how to connect them to the computer to set parameters. They won't work right out of the box without a computer and RS485 connection.
Not sure but this may help you.I have two that I just installed they both will power up go through the flashing led test and then everything shuts off. I spent eight hours today as I am not a computer guru. This is some aggravating software and poor instructions. Then I finally go through 86 parameters and get it to charge the battery, but it won't discharge without putting a jumper on the two pin plug on the back side. Rediculous.Do you already have one of those USB-to-RS485 adapters yet? (for the PC side)
Do you have the Google Drive link to all their downloads for the Seplos gear? Just in case, if not, here is again if anyone needs it...
Battery Monitor - Google Drive

I intend to buy this adapter from same seller. I hope you bought seplos adapter, because they already mentioned other type of adapter wouldn't be work properly, due to driver issue. I directly contact merchant from seplos, he already provide all of the documentation for BMS + its monitor. If you need them I can share it with you...I spent eight hours today as I am not a computer guru. This is some aggravating software and poor instructions. Thank you. Yes, Andy did help, Minerals Store on AliExpress helped me with my final bug tonight. Not sure but this may help you.
i like andy's trinkerings in general , but this wasnt a fair test imho, this was setup to fail imho, as i said under the videoYou might want to look at this video.
do you try to get some support from seplos guys? I don't see any special different on seplos adapter (when looking on their user manual). I can't tell much about it, I already ordered one, but it's still not delivered to me. Try to contact with your seller, he will direct you to their technical support guys. I already got a number from them.. they are really supportive for meI've got 2 of my 8 DIY Mason kits up and running, but I cannot get the RS485 connection to work. I've tried several different combinations:
single battery/master using 2 diff RS485 to USB adapters (both are WaveShare) and 2 diff computers - both recognize the USB adapters when plugged in.
2 batteries Master/Slave1 via dip switches with the 2 diff RS485 to USB adapters on a Win10 PC (sees both adapters)
I set the Baud rate in Seplos software to 19200 as well as Device Manager-> Ports-> USB config to 19200.
I've tried 3 diff cables and even tried to use the diff pins on RJ-45 cable. I did a continuity test across pins 1-3 on each end to make sure I have them wired correctly to the USB adapter.
I noticed in their docs, they show a TIA 568B patch cable. Most Cat6 cables today are 568A. Doesn't matter for my config as I lop off one of the ends and direct-wire the cable to my USB to RS485 adapter's wire block.
Is there something special about the Seplos adapter? I've even tried swapping A+/B- and removing ground. Nothing works.
This is not correct at all, its an upsell from Seplos, I use the cheapest crappest USB to RS485 adapter from amazon for $1 and its been working for over a yearI intend to buy this adapter from same seller. Not my experience. Top balance your cells first to make sure a parameter is not shutting it down, such as low voltage. I have 7 built and have yet to connect to a PC.I have two that I just installed they both will power up go through the flashing led test and then everything shuts off. Now I have to figure out how to connect them to the computer to set parameters. They won't work right out of the box without a computer and RS485 connection.
The settings were incorrect. It works now, but for grade B cells the 150mA of balance is not enough. I like JK better, their iPhone app and the new 4.3" LCD. I just received 5 JK's today. One more coming next week. Not my experience. Top balance your cells first to make sure a parameter is not shutting it down, such as low voltage. I have 7 built and have yet to connect to a PC.
your thread title says 200Ah. I have noticed seplos pre sales doing the same.does someone have experience around seplos BMS? is it good? so far I only find good review. please let me know any experience with that product...
Item Min. Max. Type
Standard working voltage 40V 59V 48V
Standard charging voltage 30V 60V 54V
Working temperature range -20°C 70°C 25°C
Storage temperature range -40°C 85°C 25°C
Working humidity 10% 85% /
Continuously charging current / 110°C 100°C
Continuously discharging current / 110°C 100°C
Their manuals are in Chinglish. Poor conversion from Chinese to English. The product works fine.your thread title says 200Ah. I have noticed seplos pre sales doing the same.
should it not be 200A for ampere's?
Also in the BMS manual I find something odd.
Code:Item Min. Max. Type Standard working voltage 40V 59V 48V Standard charging voltage 30V 60V 54V Working temperature range -20°C 70°C 25°C Storage temperature range -40°C 85°C 25°C Working humidity 10% 85% / Continuously charging current / 110°C 100°C Continuously discharging current / 110°C 100°C
The bottom 2 lines state celcius as unit while I would expect amperes there.
if I am correct then those are things like these that make me a bit nervous to start using their products
