Current Connected waiting room

Here’s the AIMS charger. The instructions are not awesome. Hoping to find a better version in the current connected site.

The rack is still bundled up. I will open later. If weight is a measure of quality, it should be nice. Weighs a ton.

Here’s the certificate.
Perhaps Dexter can explain why the preprinted form has "Pass" in the far right column? I would have thought that would be entered after the value was hand entered in the next column to the left. Does this mean they passed before the results were entered?

Perhaps if it doesn't pass there is no need to produce a form.

Yes, that though did occur to me.
The big red stamp that says "Q C Pass" did impress me. With a good laser printer that could be preprinted also to save the expense of ink pads and stamps

We have a quick video to help with that:
17v is not quite accurate, it's just a ghost voltage. If your meter had a Lo-Z mode, you would read 0v. It's because the BMS is de-activated.

The pallets are nice and make banding stuff to them but they are expensive, so I would keep them if you have a use. Sure, it's worth it for us because of how much less effort we need to put into securing things...but hope that they can be reused somewhere.
For example we changed the racks to being tied directly to the pallet instead of on top of the boxes as pictured above to avoid the potential of being crushed down into the batteries below. It'd be much harder to tie down with a standard pallet.

We also upgraded from the 1/2" thin poly strapping to the thick 3/4" wide strapping because we have noticed some of those bands get snapped in shipping.

Great video. Very helpful to see the process.

I don’t see in the manual or in the vid, what is the proper torque value is for battery and charger.

Thanks

Do these need to be stored flat or can they be kept on one side? I’m not deploying until this fall.
Thanks

[edit]-PS-is it ok to stack these boxes 4 high?

Hi, sorry for late responses here. Regarding terminal torque, I will get info from SOK as I can't seem to find a spec at this moment.

For direction, it can be anything except for upside-down (when viewed from the front panel).

Boxes can be stacked 4 high, but I don't recommend much more as the sidewalls of the bottom box can start to bow out, especially in a damp climate.

Finishing shipping the 3rd container this week, so we're slammed.

Just pulled the trigger on 5 48v batteries. I believe it should ship with the 5 stack rack.

I'll post updates as I get them. I'll need to think of something to cover the terminals for protection.

I was interested in these "SOK" currentconnected packs, but I live in Hawaii, and your site stated you weren't willing to ship to Hawaii. The SOK branding has better name recognition than the alternatives and their aesthetic is pleasing too.

How about establishing a Hawaii distributor? Big Island has a large off grid population who can't afford simpliphi/etc.

We just signed on a Hawaii SOK distributor. We are starting small, but going to be ramping this up slowly but surely. Once they are up and running and are ready for purchases, we will post here how to contact them to buy.

This is awesome news! Do you have any idea what price point they're targeting, or which island they're based on?

Thank you for the update--hoping it's underway by the time I'm ready to order a couple units later this year.

I gave all the info I am able to at this time. the price will be likely be a bit higher because it has shipping from my warehouse to the island factored in.
