Megarevo RxLNA Discussion

Interesting. I would think in lead acid mode with a correct AH and charge voltages settings and DOD set appropriately, it should have no reason not to charge since it thinks it is a "dumb" battery.

I won't bother you with photos
BAT TYPE - LEAD-ACID
BAT CAP - 100AH
CHARGE VOLT 55 V
CHARGE CURR 25A
BAT END-V 48V
BAT OVP: 58V

I don't have the same brand batteries as you. I have the GSL branded Megarevo with GSL lithiums. I had to update the firmware on my inverter and on the batteries before they would work. After I updated the firmware on the inverter, they would work as lead acid. Later I updated the firmware on each battery and can now use them on Lithium mode, but the charge/discharge limits are not read from the BMS as stated.............you have to set those on the Lead Acid side and then change the battery back to Lithium and restart the inverter.

I know this is pretty obvious, but check the shut down button. It won't charge if the button isn't "in". And then maybe also reboot?

I bought everything from the same brand. They tested everything (they claim) before shipping it to the USA.

Do you have a battery charger you can use to get them to 10%+ SOC then see if connecting just the batts will turn on the MR?

It looks like 1 is max SOC while the other is low, I think they should be matched up with a charger before connecting to the MR
I measured each voltage and they are both roughly the same.
The MR has a super charger.
I disconnected bat#2 both canbus & flipped the breaker I installed so it should see only 1 battery and start using/charging that one.
none what so ever.

Does the bluesun battery need charge/discharge enabled in bms? Is there a BT app for it or anything?

I apologize if these are stupid questions :)

I took the MR down:
all PV inputs & the grid connection.
Then I hooked up the battery.
After 20 seconds you hear a click in the battery unit ( i assume resistor preloading of the 48 volt) and the MR came to life.
then I enabled PV & grid, but it never started charging the battery

There are never stupid question, just stupid answers
Afaik these batteries have the SEPLOS BMS and they do not have BT communications.
RS485 & CANBUS only
I ordered 3 seplos BMS's since I want to experiment with building my own batteries from scratch.

I will hook up the white USB <-> RJ45 (I assume RS485) converter to one of the batteries to find if I can read from it.

Do you have a copy of the BMS software you could share ? If I am able to read my batteries I might need the update as well !
Did you install the between the battery & inverter yourself ?
I am still not sure about the RS485 A/B signals
According to everything I read the BMS has RS485A on RJ45 pin 8 and the MR has RS485A on pin 7
So I made a cross in the cable BMS 7 <-> MR 8 & BMS8 <-> MR7
I wonder if I am wrong there.

Sent an email to bluesun and they are already on it:

I have forwarded this to our technicians, Can you register whatsapp or wechat? In this way, our technicians can communicate with you directly, and it is more efficient.

Will report once they come with solutions.

Seplos is a bit confusing in that they do have Canbus and RS285 versions. With the 200a version anyway, it does not do both from my understanding. The boards are different in reading a Seplos Thread on this forum. They say you can't just flash different firmware to change the modes on the boards?

I installed, or made the cable between battery and MR. I only connected two pins and am running Canbus.
In the battery monitoring software upper right is Can/485. You might try to choose one of the options to see if it will allow you to get data.

FYI everyone, with the new Firmware update.
