Thanks, it took a lot of research to finally settle on my set up. However, if I ever built another one I would use a 48 inch cabinet instead of a 36 inch cabinet to give more room.
It is just a Batrium sticker. Both cabinets are metal gladiator garage cabinets from Lowe’s. The battery combiner or busbar, is a 1000 amp Blue sea buss bar.
I am using midnight solar, 175 amp DC breakers, one for each battery pack back to the busbar/combiner. I also have 300 amp class fuses just off of each battery pack.
Yes, unfortunately I have the early version of the Sol-Ark 12 K. However they were purchased at different times. The first one was purchased in late 2019 and the second one was purchased March 2020. Two reasons I bought Sol-Ark at the time was because of the efficiency versus other units and the EMP protection that is offered. No other inverter on the market offers that as far as I know at this point?
Being off grid, I wanted that extra layer of protection just in case. An EMP can come from anywhere, anytime. An electrical engineer told me that being off grid is an advantage because I do not have a long string of powerlines coming into the house.
How about your 12-K’s? Version etc..?
Battery setup? Etc..?
