This was kind of covered while learning other topics but want to just get this down.. The numbers are ballpark, used for reference..

SERIES INSTALL:......2 panels 200w suppying 12v system. It would be 24v @ 16 amps.. If either the front or rear panel gets shaded it switches to 12v @16 amps?? Sense its only seeing 1 panel and not 2 in series is what I'm trying to understand; the reason its 24v is because 2 panels are seen and used?

PARALLEL INSTALL:..... 2 panels 200w supplying 12v system would be 12v @ 32amps.. If either panel ets shaded it just drops the curent down, 12v @ 16 amps is all??

SERIES/PARALLEL:.... (first series example but now with a parallel match joined to it) 2 streams of power @ 24v and 16 amps each coming together at a manifold to one output. It would be 48v @ 16amps or 24v @ 32 amps? Then if one panel in either series or parallel gets shaded how does that effect input. Can it wind up being 12v and 24v coming into the same manifold?? In other words not a balanced system input..

Someone (unorthadoxpersonal) posted a drawing of series parallel system that woud be great to use as an image but don't know how to copy it here............. Well it may have worked
