Hello all

I was able to get my growatt 6000t working properly every time I need it.
I’ve been using it for about a month now with no issues.
It’s an amazing feeling after a year to turn the lights on at night and not need a flash light or candle. It’s amazing to just sit down and watch a movie on a rainy day. I’m so grateful and happy.
Anyway,
I have one 48v eg4 LiFepower4 battery. Roughly 5KWH. I plan to get one more pretty soon just to have some extra just in case.
I have 6 235watt solar panels in series totaling at 1,410 watts. These I’ll be switching to 3s2p hopefully this weekend. I’ll have 12 panels total in the future once I buy 6 more.

If anyone has any recommendations on how to safely work on the panels and switch the configuration on a sunny day I’d take those kindly.

I purchased the eg4 48v battery charger and I’m using a 6kw generator as backup for everything for multiple rainy days or bad snow storms etc etc.

This system powers my shipping container home and the lights in my shop with no issues at all.
With more batteries and panels I’m sure I could run my entire mini wood shop.

I was able to start to build a 20x12 shed/wood shop with some left over lumber from a job and free windows and doors from another old job.

We also got a small wood mill to start milling our own lumber for our own projects and hopefully providing affordable hardwood lumber to our community.

Cover the panels with a tarp, old carpet, cardboard or your dirty laundry ?.

Also make sure they are disconnected from load.

And nice job on your setup !

Hey man are you still sleeping with the batteries under your bed

I think they're safest there
