Some kind redditor on here pointed me towards
video earlier in the year where any buck converter can have input voltage sense added, is there any more info on this beside this one video? Thanks

I also have a question/concern on the video circuit, while testing this, as the panel comes up to power from 0 volts, because the "pull down" is inactive and the 6.4k? resistor before the LEDs is equal to the 7-ish-K resistor of the POT you're wiring to, it appears the IC will see up to half the "pre cut-off" voltage i.e. with a grid tie panel set to not go below 26 volts, it'll see nearly 10v when the panel reaches 20v before the TL431 kicks in - surely that input on the IC will burn out at that voltage?
