Hi all,
I have a bit of a problem i can't work out. My 4.5" display keeps flashing and won't stop. When i turn on the setting "Display Always On", the flashing stops. But as i plan to mount the display on the battery box i don't want it on all the time.
I have tried 2 different screens and they both do the same thing.
Anyone else seen this before?
Also, can anyone confirm that the screen goes to sleep? if so, after how long? I only really got it for the on/off button and to display cell voltage but starting to think it's not worth it and should get the smaller screen.
Thanks all.

Mine is doing the same. When there is less than .9 amps moving through the BMS is starts flashing the screen on and off. As soon as it gets at least .9 amps moving through the BMS either charging or discharging it comes on solid and works normal.

Also, my app doesn't have the display always on switch. I grabbed the latest one of the JKBMS.com site just now and still not there. Where did you get your app version?

EDIT: I was able to get a version with the display switch from the app store. It seems the website version is out of date.

How are you powering the display? I'm using a 230V to 12v 2A CCTV camera power supply for mine

I'm powering mine with a 12v LK280k pack. I should also note that when I remove the data cable it stops flashing. It doesn't seem to be a problem with the power supply. It acts like the data stream is turning it on and off.

I don't have any issues with mine. Was running always on for the past 5 months
Try turning off the "always on" and get the load/charge to less than .8 amps to see if yours does the same. After switching on "Always on" it works fine.

Ah sorry, I read your question wrong. I thought it's flashing when you have it on always on mode. I'm unable to test it for you now as I'm away from home.

Why not just keep it always on? Its designed to do that.

I most likely will unless I decide to put a power switch inline for the display. I'll have 4 of them in an RV that is not full time lived in. If I do leave them on full time I'mm probably put them behind a cabinet door to keep them from lighting up the room. They are quite bright.

Makes sense in an RV. I bought this for always-on feature so I love that

Mine will be in my RV also, i'll have 2 bms and screens and plan to mount them on the battery box. Bit annoying that they don't go to sleep.
I might have to include a power switch to the screen also, or not use it and use the smaller one which does go to sleep.
