Anyone found a source for a power supply similar to what Solar-Assistant sells?
Their price is great, but shipping to USA makes it unreasonable.

I found one on Amazon that's a 12/24v to 5v adapter with microusb connector on Amazon

If you're running SA on a Raspberry Pi, don't forget that you do NOT have to power it via the micro USB port. You can also use pins 2,4,6 of the GPIO connector:

This is actually a better way to power the Pi - often the conductors in a USB PS cable are too small, which leads to weird random misbehaviors of the Pi due to low voltage issues. This is a bigger issue with Pi 4 boards, which have a higher current requirement than earlier versions.

When you are freed from the tyranny of the USB power connector, any suitable PS will work.

Per my brief research, the GPIO 5v input lacks the fuse, TVS diode and smoothing capacitors, therefore it lacks protection from any short circuit conditions.
The input voltage also has to be externally regulated (which is not a problem when using adjustable buck converter).

Hello how did you connect orange pi Lts
I don't have the Orange Pi, I have a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B. I had a separate Pi that I just bought the software for.

I took an old micro-usb cable and cut the end off, figured out which cable was positive and negative, then wired into the buck converter.

Well if anyone else has this power supply, it doesn't work with the pi 4b... I finally got around to hooking it up, soldered and heat shrunk connections and all......
Oddly it charges a cell phone, tablet and USB power bank but it won't boot the pi; red and green light stay solid. When I use the AC power supply that came with the pi red light stays solid and green light blinks.
I swapped over after I updated to the latest beta so of course I thought the update was bad... Talk about an aggravating waste of 90 minutes, it's not even available on amazon anymore so I can leave a wonderful review.
