Good afternoon All,
I'm in need of some assistance with my new hardware I purchased from SS. List is below.
I did send an email support request to SS two weeks ago and have had no response to date. I called every night on the drive home (1 hr 40 min ride) and remained in que until last week Wednesday when my call was finally picked up. I explained the issues I was having and the Tech sent me an information request. I completed the request the best I could with what I had (photos of the issue ect..) and returned the email that day. Haven't had a response yet as of today.
List of purchased items -
36 @ Blusun 460W Bifacial panels
2 @ EG4 6500 EX-48 inverters
6 @ EG4 LL Batteries
1 @ Rack system
Lot of supporting hardware for the initial system.
I flashed the latest firmware to the inverters as I powered each one up.
Initial setup-
Attached 3 panels to PV1 and 3 panels to PV2 to invert #1 (inverter #2 stayed in the box)
Grounded the battery rack system and inverter #1 to a ground rod
No grid power attached
No AC loads attached
Goal was to charge each battery individually. While charging the first battery there were no issues. While charging the second battery, I noticed the incoming watts reading on invert #1 was way off. See photo's below.

I confirmed these readings match what was on the inverter. To my knowledge, 3 - 460 watt panels would never provide that many watts, the math just doesn't work. I tried swapping the PV arrays around and the issue always stayed on PV2. My concerns are the incorrect watt reading and if it was clipping any power. I pulled inverter #1 out of service and returned it to the box. I need to determine if this inverter is defective and needs to be returned or if I need to do some additional testing.
Installed inverter #2 and had no issues with incorrect watt readings.
Managed to charge batteries 3 through 5 (individually) with no issue.
Charging the last battery -
When I went to charge this battery, it kept going into protection mode and never tripped the breaker. I then pulled it out of the system.
The picture of the electrical components shows the cable I found disconnected from the PCB – I read that some of the shipments this had come loose during transit.
So I plugged it back in, powered up the battery and used the BMS tool to pull the data from the battery. No changes were noticed. The display voltage matched the voltage on my multimeter.

Naturally, this battery has been removed from the system. I need to determine if it needs to be returned or perform additional testing.
Just a bit of my background, I spent many years working with industrial electronics and in automation, so these devices don't make me nervous.
I've since gave that up for Project Management, easier on my body - not so much the brain.
Any help / suggestions from the Community would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
