I’m setting up a 12v battery/solar power system,
For my M416 trailer/roof top tent setup.
are 70amp breakers ok? I’m running two 100ah batteries, 50a dc-dc charger with mppt, 200w bifacial panel and a auxbeam
Switch panel. I’ll need to power a iceco vl75 fridge,Water pump as needed, led lighting small tent fan. I’m building it in a large tool chest to be mounted in the trailer bed.
This is what I have so far. Any suggestions would be appreciated.IMG_0389.jpeg

Hard to tell from your photos. But I don’t see a FUSE between your battery positive and bus bar.

Also can’t make out the brand of your breaker or what it’s protecting. What is the 70A breaker for?

They are young marine, I have one in between the dc-dc charger output and the buss bar and one between the battery and the buss bar. It’s mounted on the floor.
I’m going to running 4ga from the vehicle, starter battery to the DC-DC charger which is about a 20 foot run.

You must be an Australian if you say "Camping" instead of "Boon docking" :)

I had the same battery monitor, it lasted about a month before it began behaving erratically.

Not sure I would mount the water pump inside the electrical box
Good call… I missed seein the pump.….I would move it or isolate in a protective compartment or plastic box with a drain of some sorts…
a small leak under pressure ,where it’s at, could be very unpleasant

I agree but it's normal for RVs and trailers to put electrical and plumbing next to eachother with no protections.

My old RV (Fleetwood discovery) had the 120v and 12v electrical breaker panel under the fridge where it also had pex with fittings, drain lines, propane line, heater line and central vacuum all next and ontop of eachother. All in a poorly insulated vehicle that bounces around in all kinds of climates.

I think their excuse would be the electrical components would help keep the water lines warmer.
