Is there an easy way to search/find panels by their dimensions? ... Other than looking through spec sheets one by one?

For example , I want as much PV that will fit in a 1700x1400 mm area.

Not rreally...
Manufacturers build them to maximize profit.
If shopping new, you will need to decide a shape that fits the build.

It would be handy but I don't know of any. Heck it is not always easy to find the dimensions for some panels. Does not seem to be any standards even among common wattage and voltage panels.

NAZ Solar and Richsolar have a variety of smaller solar panels to choose from. It has been satisfactory purchasing from both. I mention this because your dimensions (~66X55 inches) may be better suited for more than one panel but I could be mistaken.

If you provide more details/images, someone here might save you time. Any way to allow overhang?, etc.

I went thru the exact same search because I was limited to ~ 1,720mm which is about ~67 inches..

I had to open a lot of specs and read one by one... I can share that Canadian Solar 365W & Solaria 400W are high wattage panels in this dimension. But I don't know how to search globally for panels by dimensions.

It is just a shed roof, east/west facing, one side has a skylight. The east side is 3400x1700 mm. Bit of overhang would be fine I think as well as multiple small panels. Mainly I was trying to make the search a little more efficient. The ca.gov spreadsheet should help a lot. Might even think about removing the skylight.

Noticed a leak this winter... Hasn't rained much here the last 15 years so who knows how long that has been there.
