Hi There,

I've got the opportunity to purchase some EIG 3.7v cells which would make up a 24v 500ah battery bank.

1. What are people's thoughts on this? It's for a dutch barge.
2. What BMS would I need for this?

Any help would be much appreciated!

What is EIG?
Company, chemistry, form factor or something else?
If EIG is not the chemistry, what is?
1. lifepo4 is the most popular chemistry now because its safer and nearly as energy dense as the "vent with fire" chemisties.
2. Depends on the chemistry.

Hi there - EIG is the company that makes them (Korean I believe) and they're originally intended for Chrysler EVs.

They are Polymer batteries not LiFePo4 - I know Liifepo4 is better due to safety concerns, but I came across these and they were very good VfM

Do you need low voltage charge disconnect?
UPDATE: meant low temperature.
