Hi all,

So I have acquired a dead allpowers s2000 power bank. I've pulled it apart and found that the battery is in 6s16p configuration. I've also researched that it is a ternary battery. So what I'm looking to do is to put the battery to good use although the unit is dead. Question is how do I charge it. I have a 24v battery charger with a lipo option. I connected it and charged it from 22.2 to 23v. I'm not entirely sure if this is safe to just leave on charge until full as I'm unsure what the full charge voltage should be. Would the bms just shut the charger off when full? Also how would I know when to stop discharging would the bms just cut it out at full discharge? Any help with this would be much appreciated.

If the unit is dead, are you sure the BMS is properly working?

I would imagine it has some sort of proprietary stuff on it that might make it unsafe to be using as is without the full control board connected to it.

It looks like a LiFePO4 6s16p configuration goes from 15.5V to 25.5V, but I don't know if that is the same for this packs chemistry.
