how does a solar system do both 120v and 220v circuits in my home?
the inverters i find only put out 1 voltage,120 or 220 ,

Need an inverter that puts out split phase 120/240 or add an autotransformer. Or you can get two 120v inverters that can be paralleled to split phase 240.
Other than 120/240, what are you looking for?
