I plan to use a Victron “Inverter Smart” 48/3000 “230v” to run a critical circuits subpanel from batteries for several 220v 50hz appliances. I have 127/220 split 3phase 50hz grid service. I’ve so far ruled out using two inverters for split phase 220 output as I have not need for the 120 output at 50hz.

I believe the appliances don’t know if the 220 volts is coming from L127-L127 (grid) or from L220-N (Inverter).

It would be handy to employ a transfer switch (either manual or automatic) that would switch between these following a grid outage.

Seems straight forward as the grid does not employ a neutral for 220 appliances, so a double pole breaker within the transfer switch mechanism could be switched off and then to allow each the 220 line and a neutral line from the inverter.

Just not sure if this is feasible or even a good idea.

Would any 220 double pole transfer switch work in this situation?

Maybe this type of switch specifically for 220v? https://www.electric-hc.com/product/Automatic-transfer-switches-MLQ1-63-2P.html

Thank you in advance…Richard
