MT50 monitor with EPever MPPT charge controller: setup question

I am so new to this but have really appreciated everyone's help with previous questions. We finally tested our setup ( 400W in series, panels (4 x 100W), 40Amp MPPT charge controller, 3000W inverter, (2) 12V 100Ah lithium batteries. We set up our MT50 monitor with parameter settings suggested by Will using Battle Born Batteries BUT did not change any of the other default settings. There are only "zero" amp readings on the monitor. Why would this be (there are a few fractions that show up periodically) nothing registers from solar panels and zero for battery though the battery has charged using the system set up, per the monitor, and appliances are running. Is this a defect in our equipment or what did we do wrong? Is there a way to check or is it possibly how we set up the monitor? Any help would be so great. I have tried to look online, and know I can go into the parameters with computer but I would not know what to look for. Any starting point suggested would be great! Thanks
 
If there is a load present, and you have sunshine, then it sounds like something is wired wrong. Are the batteries in series, for 24v? Does the MT50 show 24V on the second "parameters" screen? Are you using the controller's "load" output terminals, or just the battery output terminals? (Just use the battery output for everything.)

As far as settings go, I'm sure you've already done this, but:
Choose the "user" battery type, and change the temp compens. coefficient to 0.
Then change the charge limit, the overvoltage disconnect, boost, float and equiliz. voltages to the way Will suggested, and it should work. These are not all needed by lithium batteries, but they need to be set so that they don't cause problems.
 
I agree with Fred's question, how is your load wired. I don't use the SCC load terminals so my MT50 load displays always show 0 to 0.2 A. And the .2A is the load of the MT50 and USC module.

Thanks for your reply: Batteries are in parallel, 12 V; In the control parameters, the second screen does say 12V; and I did change all the settings mentioned in the video Will posted, though I did notice anything about the over voltage or boost ( left that at the default setting).

Also, there is nothing in the load, only on the battery output. Thanks.
 
Also, with solar panels in series, the monitor shows maximum voltage output (it was a bit cloudy) and still not really showing any amp readings. Below are pics (sorry there is so much reflexion). I can take new pics if you can't make them out.

It’s showing 74.1v .01a in from your PV
battery at 14.4v with 1a chg from CC
14.4 available to load terminals but using 0. If the red button for is on and lit it will show that push the red button off and the load v reading should show 0
Those little lines radiating out from the load light bulb icon above the load reading mean the load terminal is on. The lines will disappear when it’s off. ?
If you want to see what your accessories are using power out and charge in and you need to install a separate power meter.
 
At 14.4v your batteries are plumb full. You said this problem happens while appliances are running. Are they only a fairly small load?
You can try placing a high continuous load on the system (during sunshine on the panels) and see if the output increases then. E.g. a heat gun/hair dryer, or a small heater, or a small microwave.

A less likely problem is that the batteries' bms could be shutting off the current, because the voltage is high enough to trip it.
 
Put on a heavy load for a couple of minutes, as soon as the voltage drops a some it should "start" charging/producing again.
