Ordering cells from China can be a leap of faith. Putting your money out there hoping to receive your cells. I thought i would start a thread where success stories could be posted regarding vendors that have followed through with their promises. Feel free to post any experience that you were happy with. If you would like to warn others of who to stay away from you can start a thread on that. This thread is about happy outcomes in a timely fashion. Please try to include the shipping type and time as well as the price paid.

Today 12.28.23 to my surprise I received 16 280ah cells along with separation sheets as well as bus bars and nuts for the studs. They arrived between 3.295 and 3.301 volts. No bulging. They were ordered saturday november 11.2023 so arrived 6 weeks amd 5 days later even with christmas shipping load. Now to parallel and top balance them for a few days. 1605.00 shipped

Those Battero Tech cell are really tempting. Under $1300 shipped sounds crazy.
I'm nervous to order from china... Shipping delays may become an issue real quick...

Ok but what's the reason to scratch the code? What are they hiding? For $100/cell shipped I'd rather buy from 18650 for $130/cell grade A with reports.

They aren't hiding, they are storage grade, so without factory warranty.

Guess you have been around long enough

Known Good Reputable Vendor. Link Below. This is on AliBaba, Not AliExpress.
Contact Person (Owner of Luyuan Tech) Amy Wan. Start a Chat or better Messenger session for a proper quote with shipping.
They can also provide BMS', Cases etc.

TIP, It is cheaper to get all the bits from one vendor, because they can include it within the packaging. This reduces the "per box" rate + weight per unit expenses... Also you get all your stuff at once, no waiting for that 1 last box.

Link provided, is to the A-Grade Cells. These are Matched & Batched to have the same Internal Resistance through the working voltage ranges. They come with Factory Test Reports for the cells.

Again...
You haven't been around that long..
All storage grade cells are scratched, most "a grade" cells sold are in fact storage grade cells where the qr code is relasered...

I wish all Chinese vendors would behave like gobel..
Clear and without bullshit.
OP choose storage grade cells, and was delivered accordingly

Same cannot be said about docan and many others

Are you talking about Aliexpress sellers or US based stores like 18650batterystore, SFK or batteryhookup? Are you suggesting their cells are relasered with fake test reports?

Batterhookup, without cell test report probably
18650, envision cell will be scratched
SKF won't even comment on those MF'S
docan, most def. Relasered

Again, search this forum and learn

I bought LF105 from 18650 and they are not scratched. Can you refer me to some links?
Something wrong with using the forum search yourself ?

Again , OP CHOOSE STORAGE GRADE CELLS, and got them
YOU CHOOSE automotive grade cells and got them.
If you had chosen the envision b grade cells at 18650 , you would have gotten, but with a scratched out qr
If you had chosen a grade cells at docan , you would have gotten cells with a relasered qr.

Not really hard to comprehend now is it ?

I think incomprehension of my first comment was on your part.

^ there I meant that instead of paying $100/cell for scratched code factory reject "storage" cells I'd rather spend extra $15 - $30 (depending on shipping) and buy EVE grade A with reports.

* Scratched-off QR Codes mean these didn't even make B grade. Basically grey market brokered cells.
* Voltage & IR matched in this instance means at the storage voltage they were received. This is meaningless.
---------------------
At present, true Grade-A, EVE 280K Version 3 cells are typically testing out at 301AH +/-2AH.
This is known due to spot testing batches of units pulled from shipments. EVE B-Grade, same same cells are averaging 282-292.
This is all from the Working Range of 3.000-3.400 after full charging.
Batched cells (A-grade) should all have identical IR values at 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 Volts.

Well i have since put my top balanced my cells and put on an overkill 100 amp bms.
Hooked them up to the house the first night and unhooked all other batteries to see how many amp hours i could get from them.
I sat the inverter to switch to grid at 48 volts and back to battery at 50v.
I was pulling about 40 amps running the house so there was some sag.
I let it drop out to grid at 48 and then when it recovered itself to 50v it would kick back in.. I let it do that until it could not recover to 50 volts.
I pulled 282 amp hours. took a pic with my phone which i will post later.

Wow they even come with the insulator sheets.
Did they add corner protectors to the foam packaging? That's above and beyond what I've gotten from others.
That seems like a decently fast transit, quicker than some stateside solar vendors.

Off to gobel, again.

Are you able to do any testing?

Thank you for following up.
