I bought an Anker SOLIX F2600 and BP2600 Expansion Battery Solar Generator Kit (2.4KW/2.56KW) including some solar panels. It comes with inverter and AC output is 120V-20A, 60Hz, 2400W Max. Total battery capacity is 5120Wh. My goal is to use it daily as a primary power source and use grid power as backup for high power consumption appliances. Is this possible? What else components do I need?

Thanks in advance for your answering!

1st is an energy audit, its a pita but needs to be done. Then check local electrical codes and permits. Your inverter will run small loads, refrigerator, microwave, or drip coffee pot maybe. But not all at once.

My expectation is to use the battery power when it is enough and automatically switch to grid when more power is required.

5120wh/19hrs = 270w avg power draw all day long.

1000w PV input *5hrs = just barely enough sun to fill it back up (in summer) 60v max PV input. Id likely have 2 arrays of 800 ish watts each, one east and one west. (dual 400w panels each)

Thanks all. I still need to know what kind of switch (best of the switch name and model) I should buy for the automatic switch purpose. Yes, I will do my home work for the whole house. But, can I buy the right switch first and let it run this way and add more power later? I will hire a licensed electrician to install the switch. Another question is even if I have enough panels to have enough power to feed the whole house, due to the AC output is only 120V. can I add another 120V feed to support 240V for the appliances require 240V?
