DIY solar power pack

My first foray into solar power is this little solar power pack (I can't abide the term "solar generator" for some reason). All I wanted was a simple project to put together a few of the pieces and see if I could charge phones off it. To that end, mission accomplished. I think I might be developing a new habit, hobby, addiction, whatever you want to call it.

The main purpose of this is to have power at our yurt and while we're camping, so the panel is going to stay free standing for the time being.

What do you guys think about using the SAE connector for the solar panel input? The thing I like about them is you can use them for all your installations and plug the same panels into the input, wherever it might be. Since I'm focused on semi-portable rigs right now (that includes my portable power pack, the teardrop trailer and the yurt) this seemed to make the most sense.

What I don't like so much is that this one feels kind of loose. Maybe it's just this one? In any case it's working and I'm just wondering if others use the same thing?

I'm going to be using the sae for my solar input. I forget the amp limit but might be worth checking out before adding more watts
