This is a bit different than the title says. I have a Vestwoods Ultra 250ah 12v battery I use steadily this time of year in my Sprinter to run a maxxair fan, charge phone/ipad, and run a 12v 50L fridge when it’s needed. Yeah I know it’s not a Victron, Lithionics, or even a Battleborn, Epoch...

The continuous discharge rate and a few other specs are less robust on the Essential 460ah compared to it’s marine counterpart… It’s not just a pretty case. I haven’t looked at any specs but would imagine similar things with the smaller ah Essential batteries as well. Simple cost cutting moves.

Well now that’s a cute little AC unit. I must say though, 2400btu seems quite weak even for a compact caravan / trailer. It might help if the ambient temperature is only 80F/27C and the Caravan is white, but if it’s 100F/38C ambient then no way. Most US RV makers install 12kbtu-13.5kbtu roof...

Note the Epoch Essential battery has a lower continuous discharge rate in addition to the other differences you noted. Probably still fine for most rv use cases, just sayin’.

There seems to be some relatively serious investment going into sodium batteries. At this point, it looks more feasible for large energy storage projects, though the 5000 cycle is considerably less than Lithium provides so it seems like there would have to be a very substantial cost offset...
