I now have my own EVO 4024, batteries, and a SBMS, so I plan to start tinkering in the next few weeks. It's much easier to figure these things out when you have one you can test with. The AC SSRs are a good idea if there's no other way to control the inverter. In the case of these units, they have a rocker switch that you can place an DC SSR inline with so that solves the idle consumption issue.
