Don't know if it is bad but do your process was faulty. You should have top balanced them slowly with a regulated power supply at about 10 amps until all of the cells came up to 3.65, could have taken a week with the cells connected in parallel.

When you first turn it on it "assumes" the batteries are at 100% soc whether they are or not. When I initialized my 712 my batteries were not fully charged....hence my original suggestion.

Also early morning cold gives your panels a big boost in charge capacity.

Did you correctly synch when the batteries were at 100 percent soc?

I had the same issue with my portable table saw that is rated at 15 amps/1800 watts. I used google and came up with surge of 5400 watts so I went with an inverter with a surge rate of 6000 watts and seems to have worked out. I say seems because I only have tested my 15 amp chop saw which passed...
