Epever controller 90% 20% soc charge perameter Q

Hi Mike. I've noticed you seem to post solutions to most epever controller questions. Regarless of settings could you do a breakdown of what each parameter refers to (in MT50 order)? You mention that most are for the load control but it might be helpful to everyone (inc me) if they understood...

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Apparently it's NOT that straight forward. Did you read this thread about current limitation? https://diysolarforum.com/threads/charging-using-a-power-supply-without-current-limitation.17042/post-195181

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Perfect thread, answered all my questions. I'm going to use the 30v 10A bench PS that I have for the top balance and see how that works for mains hookup charge. If it takes too long then these PS you suggested via a PWM will smash it. Much happier about the setup now. Brilliant

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

as you say 30v would be ideal but they jump to 36v

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

I think these are just fixed power supplies though so couldn't draw more than the 24v and thought the voltage needed to be higher than that to be able to charge fully (28v)

Does it have course and fine adjustment on it or just the one?

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Yeah that's the plan. Because it's 0-30v I should be able to reduce it to 3.6v for the top balance and then upto 28.2 for the hookup charge.

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

I cant do it that way because I only have a 8s BMS. I ended making the missing busbars with copper pipe. I've ordered the 30v 10A power supply so at least I can get on with top balancing them

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Yeah I've just watched his video with it. If you fancy selling it on when you're done I'd be happy to buy it, save me waiting for it coming from China

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

I've been looking since my last post for a bench power supply and the max I can find is 30V 10A but considering my capacity is only 5760 watts it'd be roughly 19 hours from 0 to full which it'll never be and I'll probably have a lower charge voltage maximise the lifespan. I haven't got to...

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Do you have a link because I'm looking at this for top balancing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/ADJUSTABLE-POWER-SUPPLY-30V-5A-SWITCHING-DC-DIGITAL-LED-PRECISION-LAB-VARIABLE/272080423777 Although this goes upto 30v I thought because it was only rated at 5A it would take a long time to charge...

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

My batteries arrived this week. I ordered 8x 200Ah lifepo CALBS (Aliexpress) and 16 primatics turned up. Apparently they messed up in the factory but I got decent discount after messaging them. These are meant to be 120AH cells instead so I've now got 16x 120AH cells. I'll need to series and...

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

Very similar situation, I'm down in Chorley atm. Just setting up a 24v 240AH system with 1000w solar. Have you got set up yet?

Who's in the UK and Ireland?

I just had batteries from China (Aliexpress) and they had to warn me Brexit might change there delivery charge or time but they actually arrived early and no extra taxes etc

Charging my battery bank with AC charger

I have a similar question, I have my RV set up with 24v 200Ah lifepo4 with 1kW of solar. Generally the solar does keep the batteries full enough but I'd like to top them up fully when on hook up or if necessary from my portable jenny. Is it possible to use a standard lead acid 12v charger to the...
