Yes, i thought this would be the case as old school AGM and such also work perfectly fine for many years without direct communication. I guess it's a question of personal prefarance and or the willingness to pay a bit extra for the communication option. Thanks for your response.

Yes you are correct on that.. my fault, if i use full 3500W the 120A is to small. I said i build 1 battery but in my mind i was thinking about building 2 battery's (smaller AH) and in parallel 120A should be fine. I will check out and google the Pylon Tech Protocol, i dont know what that is...

So far they seem well matched, very small delta.. I only charge at 10-15Amps, I can imagine charging or discharge with higher amps they start to drift a little but settle and get closer together again after that. I will have a better look at the BMS manual, should have done that before asking...

Thanks much for your reply! Is setting the usable capacity only for the cycle count? Or does it influence the battery’s SOC % reading as well? I guess not, but just curious. I will put the battery pack tru a couple of cycles like you said and see how the BMS performs. Thanks again.
