24v Single Bank 16s series/parallel or Dual Bank 8s in parallel?

Don't forget fusing for each pack, between main pack positive and their combining busbar. Also a good idea to have a switch on each bank

Salon? As close to the battery as possible. Before everything else that's connected. Red wire batt +, Black wire batt -, Green wire ground.

    JK BMS Current Consumption (JK-B2A8S20P-H)

The settings stay set, no issue there. I turned mine off with the button for two months and only lost 10% charge, which I think is within spec and normal for the cells (100ah/8s)

Class T fuse or DC circuit breaker

Battery CB needs to be able to handle a short and/or over current in both directions. You need a non polarised CB. I'm not sure that the one in the picture is. I would stick with the Class T and good quality switch.

    JK BMS Current Consumption (JK-B2A8S20P-H)

I see in the new manual, they quote: Power consumption: balanced state 8mA@100V, Non-Equilibrium State 7mA@100V. Does that equate to: 16mA@50V, 32mA@25V and 64mA@12.5V? My BD6A20S10P uses just over 27mA@26.5V or 715mW not balancing (Non-Equilibrium State). So it seems ok I think (if my maths is...

Where's do you think Aussies live? I'm 1,000 mtrs above sea level in Australia. Ashamed to say, we grind our grain with dirty old king coal.

I look at the USA as my senile grandfather. Someone who remembers the good ol' days, but can't remember yesterday and has no idea of tomorrow. Maybe that's just their government. Joking of course, I'm fully aware that I'm in a glass house throwing stones.

    measurement unit consensus.

It makes me laugh when the rest of the English speaking world think that US cars are thirsty gas guzzlers They often don't realise that US miles per gal is different to imperial miles per gal. We in Australia of certain age used the imp gallon up until 1974 and think of a gallon as 4.5 litres...

Does this work as a class T Fuse?

The "AG" in the code on the label deciphered means: A = Partial-range breaking capacity (short-circuit protection only) G = General purpose applications. General purpose fuses are not "very fast blow" like class-t. They are only "fast blow". A proper battery fuse would have the 1st letter "G"...

    Epever battery settings. Bluetooth app?

Thanks.. Yes, did that. All good that way. The settings I'm most worried about are the "Boost Duration" and "Charging Limit Voltage"

    Epever battery settings. Bluetooth app?

I've just connected my 5415an controller to my two 12v, 100ah lithium batteries in series. I have the ble-01 connected and I'm going through the battery settings. So far I have these settings. Some are default, some I have put in: Boost duration(m) 120 (default) Equalise duration 0...

Single pole fuse/breaker between bus bar and SCC?

I'm pretty sure it's ok but I just thought I get an opinion. 24v 100ah battery / 50a controller Is it ok to only fuse the positive cable between the controller and the bus bar?

Best way to charge two 12v batteries connected in series

Thanks rmaddy. I'm glad it's working out for you. I had the same question in regards to keeping them in check.

Best way to charge two 12v batteries connected in series

To make sure they don't get out of balance once in series, is it feasible to use something like a Victron Battery Balancer? I read a very old post on the Victron forum that they are suited to lead acid only. Anyone know if this is still the case?

How to wire a DC breaker?

I don't know if these are available in the US but they are very common here in Australia Noark 360V DC Circuit Breaker (2 pole) non-polarised with K-type tripping curve.

    Tracer 5415AN suitability?

Thanks' My batteries have a Max. Charge Current: 50A (≤ 0.5C) I got a great deal on three 400watt panels. Will charging these batteries so close to their max charge current adversely effect their life?

    Tracer 5415AN suitability?

I'm worried about the output/charge amps of the controller. It being an mppt, doesn't it raise the amps and lower the voltage (find the maximum power point)? The 2 panels together in series have a max voltage of 68.4v and max current of 11.7.

    Tracer 5415AN suitability?

Thanks sunshine_eggo. I'm a little worried about the batteries max charge current of 50 amps and the controller also being 50 amps. Will the batteries suffer from being charged at 50 amps over the long term? From what I can see there is no way to lower the amp output on the 5415AN controller...

    Tracer 5415AN suitability?

Hello, I am looking at buying a Epever Tracer 5415AN controller. It has a rated charging current of 50 amps. I am new to lithium. Question is: Would this controller be suited to the two Enercore LiFePO4 batteries I have? I plan to set them up in series for 24v, which is ok for these according to...

    Hello from NSW, Australia

Hi Everyone, I've just joined up after watching Will on YouTube for years and lurking in the background of this forum. I live in NSW. I've been off grid for years with a 24v 2kW system and have just upgraded to 4.4kW ). I'm interested in hearing from other people who have equipment. I have...
