    All in one inverter

How do you add the 3000w inverter. I’m new to all this. How is it wired to the aio?

    All in one inverter

What are your thoughts on the mpp aio. I also looked at the 1012 but thought I should go bigger. But overall are you satisfied with mpp.

    All in one inverter

I’m assuming the LV 2424 would be the same? So it allows the batteries to charge but not overcharge. Correct.

    All in one inverter

I’m looking at getting an AIO to run my off the grid cabin. The cabin is only used on weekends during the spring summer and fall months and completely shut down during the winter. I understand that the AIO uses idle consumption. So my question is since the cabin is only used two or three days a...

All in one vs separate inverter/charger for first system?

What kind of AIO do you have? Thanks

    Thanks for the advice.

    How much is too much.

So your saying this system is worth the money for my needs with some expansion. I don’t see doing much more we go there to get away from the world. But it is nice to have some of the amenities we are accustomed too.

    How much is too much.

I plan on disconnecting the inverter and batteries in the winter a taking them to my home where they will not but in freezing temps.

That kit comes with a mpp solar unit And two lifePO4 batteries with 10 yr warranty As I price things out separate in the kit Inverter=$650 Batteries =$1100 Panels=960 Total without any wiring is $2710..

That’s why I thought about the 24v system for around $2800. Like the idea of everything come together with this setup. Inverter, battery, panels, cables. Etc. if I ever decide to add more to the cabin like a fridge I would have plenty of watts. Plus if I ever need to run a vacuum or skill saw...

    Thoughts on this system.

So what is the advantage/disadvantage of 12v or 24 v. For example my cabin is wired like a normal house but fed by generator. Generator feeds a breaker panel. Panel feeds lights and outlets on 3 separate breakers. So in my situation would 12v or 24v be better.? Also looking at watt hours 2 12v...

This version of inverter PIP1012LV-MK In order to get 2000 watts do you buy two and parallel them together. Up to 9. If each unit is around $625. How is that cost effective?

    Thoughts on this system.

Honestly I’d like to stay on a 12v system. Just wish mpp solar made a little bit larger wattage inverter for 12v as an All In One. Kinda like having everything in one little box plus could run generator through as well. Are their any other options? Would like at least a 2000 w inverter.

Thanks for the input. Still haven’t decided on what to get. Have been thinking about his system and would probably cover everything I have and room for expansion. https://shopsolarkits.com/products/complete-all-in-one-solar-kit-mpp-lv2424-2-400w-120v-24vdc-800-watts-solar-pv-hbk-2

I realize this is small but I’m just running a few led lights and TV. Used primarily on weekends only. Everything else is gas.

    Leave inverter on or off

Thanks for all the input. Really a newbie at all this. So far at my cabin all I have are led lights and a few outlets. Gas stove. No fridge. Not sure I really plan on running a fridge but who knows in the future.

    Leave inverter on or off

What kind of AIO do you have. Are you run grid power through it as well. The MPP that I’m looking at I’m able to hook generator to and run through the AIO.

    Leave inverter on or off

If the inverter is off what keeps the batteries from overcharging?

    Leave inverter on or off

Looking at an all in one inverter the MPPS 1000w 12V hooked to 2 200w panels with 2 lifepo4 batteries. This will be installed at my off the grid cabin that we use on weekends in the summer and fall. Since the cabin is vacant during the week should I leave the inverter on or turn it off during...

    Max charging current

Thanks for the knowledgeable now comment. I like that. That’s kinda funny. Anyway thanks for the info. So how do I balance the batteries? Hook Together all pos together and beg together till the read the same volts. ?

    Max charging current

I apologize for jumping around. It won’t happen anymore. Just trying to figure out what to set on this inverter for that setting in order to not do any damage to the batteries or something even worse like a fire. Maybe I’m just overthinking it.

    Max charging current

How do I figure out what to set for the max charging current in the settings based off of 12V 35 amp AGM battery. I will have 5 wired in parallel. Looking at the mpp 1012LV AIO inverter.
  27. R

    Max charging current

    Max charging current

Looking at the MPP 1012 AIO inverter. From what I’m gathering and looking at the specs maximum current from the solar panels would be 40 A and maximum current from the utility would be 20 A for a 60 amp total if both charging at the same time. So I couldn’t go any higher than 60 A anyways but...

    Max charging current

What is the maximum charging current for a 12 V 35 amp hour sealed lead acid battery if 5 of them are wired in parallel configuration? The battery states that maximum charging current is 15 A. But does that change since I’m wiring 5 of them together.

    All in one inverter

They are AGM sealed lead acid. They were given to me free from a buddy Looks like the manual for the 1012 defaults to 40A. I can choose between 10-60 in increments of 10.
  33. R

    All in one inverter

Wow that’s a lot to digest. The battery I’m using is a 35 amp hr battery. It states that max charging current is 15 amps max I will have 5 of these wired in parallel. Does this increase the charging current or is it still 15 amps max?

    All in one inverter

So after looking at Wills lcd settings and reading through everything I think I have most of it figured out. First off this looks like these example settings or for a 24V inverter. Which is fine he explains what they should be for a 12v inverter. My only confusion is #2. Maximum charging...
