Won't reestablish com either. Don't have time to re-pin another cord, too many irons in the fire. EG4 setting seemed a bit conservative anyway.

Whelp, last night both inverters shut down after the Fault 61 showed up and wouldn't clear. SP1 was in EG4 mode, SP2 in USE mode, I have the corrected cable in the correct orientation. I've had intermittent 61 codes, but they've always cleared within a minute or so, setup has been running fine...

Been my observation, seem to be seeing it less since my batteries have been cycled a few times.

After looking into it a bit and having a submersible that is nearly 20 years old, I'm thinking of going with a new soft start Grundfos pumps.

Man, don't think I'd would of gone around the block with them stacked that way, much less to Cali.

Programmed mine on battery with solar off without much issue. Than I turned the solar on. Currently only have solar on one inverter.

When charging, they're really loud. Not bad at 20-30% load only (not charging). Haven't pushed them much harder as of yet, but I'm guessing the fans will also ramp up at higher load amounts.

My 6500's in split phase can handle my Dryer without issue with a 19k btu mini split running at the same time. Also have a well pump ( 1/2 submersible) I'd like to connect. Based on how I've seen these performing, I'm confident it could handle it. But I'm leaning on installing a soft start...

Same issue with one battery one inverter and multiple inverters (split phase) and multiple batteries. Although issue seems to happen less since the batteries have been cycled a few times. USE setting gets rid of it until they find a fix.

New system I'm putting together with 6500EX's and LP4 batteries. I only had one 6500 with one battery for a few days fiddling with it but kept getting 61 error. Checked my com cables, but they seemed to be pinned correctly. Most of the time it indicates it is communicating with the battery...

Double checked pin orientation, made sure com cable was plugged into correct ports and had the lovely error 61 code this AM. I only have one battery connected at the moment minimal to no load. Same thing happened yesterday morning. Not sure if there's a pattern developing. Definitely...

Appreciate the reply. Double checked the orientation, all seems okay. Looks like it's loosing coms with the battery. Battery indicator stops blinking when the error codes shows up. I unplug and replug com cable, error goes away and battery icon starts blinking again indicating good communication.

Can you please elaborate. Also getting error 61, have two units, one is not connected yet. One cable is blue the other black. Get the error with both cables.

Getting the 61 code as well with the EG4 6500EX. Hooked up for the first time late yesterday afternoon, only had batteries connected running a 120v mini split. Started giving me the code this AM with zero load batteries only. Beeped for couple of minutes and went away on its own. I shut it down...

Lots of good info online, will get you 90%. But, like with most things, getting info on the last 10% is the hardest like to float or not to float and how to ground. Bonded or not bonded. o_O ? I'd love to build my own batteries, but don't have the time to research, way to many irons in the fire...

Running two Power Queen Plus 12.8V 200Ah batteries in series. Per their manual, charge current should be between 14.2 to 14.6. per battery. Float should be set at 13.8. Since I'm running them in 24v configuration, I have setting 19 set to 28.4 and setting 20 "float" at 27.6. So far so good...

Resolved my issue by using USE and setting Float voltage to the voltage recommended for my LiFePO4 batteries. Educated myself a bit more about what float means in regards to LiFePO4 batteries. Growatt is simply wrong, ironically, their inverter works perfectly maintaining float with LiFePO4...
