I was also just reading about fuses right after the battery. Is the calculation the same for those, and are T fuses the recommended ones? I see some people using MRBF even on 48. Edit: you answered this partially above.

Ok, one of the uncertainties was whether that 4% was accounting for or in addition to calculating the voltage changed based on the Voc coefficient.

I think I am. The Voc is 49.1. The panel is TP6F72M(H)-400. The temperature coefficient is -0.26%/°C. On the actual panel back the stick says, instead, 49.1 +/- 4%, and I used that 4% to determine whether the voltage would be "out of bounds", considering no voltage loss. It gets as cold as 20...

I am looking at some panels that, if I put them in series, the Voc would be above 150 V some very low probability, by 1.064 Vdc. I'd expect the voltage drop over 10-30 ft to make it even less of a chance. Does this seem like a reasonable chance to take?
