not had a cut out from the bms since i turned up the back to mains setting to 48v this gives the battery time to charge up a little before the sun sets , trying to work out shoud i add 2 more panels first or get another batt pack

i am on my first its doing fine but having problems on bms cutting out at low voltage it will not turn on again untill you remove the - cable first , i set my back to mains power on the inverter to 46v to stop the drain over night going too low and the bms kicking in , i will get a 2nd batt...

thanks i change what i knew about the cells from 12 to 16 once i watched a video not much info on them yet but will stick with above 58v/57v may keep low voltage to 45v for now

got one delivered now i could do with some info , safe charging voltage and best low cut off voltage , i thought there was 12 cells but watching a video there are 16

being its all in a nice metal case with a removable lid am guessing later in its life it will be easy to replace the cells

have ordered my first one this will enable me to fit the 48v hybrid inverter i bought 3-4 weeks ago , also bought a basic 100a shunt to keep an eye on the battery , will add more batt packs as funds permit

found one youtube video for them but not much else first post corrected from 24v to 48v

update the 170fs have been working fine with out any problems , they still have 90% soh , they do the job but still looking to goto life cells at some point when funds permit

100% correct , so the only part of the unit that is duff is a guess on my part the battery charging module as pictures , one end of the board is pv in the other is conected to the battery ,

the eco-worthy 3000w hybrid inverter . model eco-3000w (tof) i had a quick look inside there is a small circuit board that connects +/- side of the battery to +/- side of the pv input anyone know what that is for and if poss a ciurcuit dia as a component on the poss side has burnt out , the rest...

game over it went into code 8 i reset it then went into code 50/51 then went pop and started smoking , so i have refitted my old iconica inverter that may be a poor out put but works , as soon as i powered it up it had more spare amps while charging the battery it didnt over charge the battery...

at the moment its just running on 2 panels as i am awaiting delivery of the next 2 they are in series . but will put a meter in line today to double check

just noticed when checking the batt pack i was getting a reading of .5v differance from the lcd readout . lcd 24v meter 24.5 i have 2 meters so as to keep a check on them , any way i had the inverter set to max 28,8v meter reading was 29.6 (battery) . i have since turned the max down to 28v ...

an offer i could not refuse came up for a eco-wothy 3000w hybrid inverter , its output already leaves the more exspensive iconica inverter behind, and as other thread am testing some power safe batteries for my setup

update i picked up x2 power safe to test both had a SOH of 90%,( my tester) so far they are on there 3rd recharge ready for later in the day , i will sell my x4 liesure batteries only 12mth old when i know more on the power safe

just replaced my old hybrid inverter (2000w) with an eco 24v 3000w , now it said on the tin max 1500w input i have laying on a flat roof x2 400w panels and x2 245w panels , i would like to replace the x 245w with another x2 400w panels , guessing as the panels are flat they will never reach...

they are all around the uk most come from telecom back ups 2-4 years old 170fs can be picked up from £70 as said you can only do the quick test to find any bad batt packs , one outlet will test on his new tester and gives you a printout, his last batch had 91% soh 3 years old , its all a mine...

still keep coming back to the unit above as it gives me a 50% buffer for future poss upgrades , have to find the cash to upgrade to a larger batt pack first , but at the same time keep an eye out for any deals on the unit and be able to grab a bargain

thanks for the info , it took a while but found the 95amp are 1000cca and the 170amp are around the 1800cca , unless some one knows better, so like your tester i can set the cca and get some sort of soh , but you never know plans change and i might find a 24kw electric car battery at a good...

where did you get your eve cells from i saw them on frogstar outlet

looking to get some 2 year old power safe 12v170fs batteries is there a way to get the cca for them so i can test them on my battery tester or is there some simple /ish way to test the soh

update i upgraded x2 240w panels and added x2 400w panels i will at some point endup with x4 400w panels , but so far its added so much more charging time to my battereis it has been worth it

the roof can just take if ever needed 6 laying flat x3 long x2 wide i would only just get 4 if i was to build a frame so the first 2 did not give a shadow over the 2 at the rear , also the roof is open to the wind that comes up the hill like a funnel between the houses anyone that puts a 6ft...

as they are at the moment in a frame on the grass faceing south, in winter they get about 4 maybe 5 hrs of sun , due to buildings and trees, just by going futher down the garden on the shed roof in the morning the sun will hit them now at 6-7am, on the grass its not untill at least 10am before...

i will only use 4 panels at the momenat but space wise i will have to fit then to the shed/workshop roof laying near flat , it will give the panels upto 4 hrs in the summer longer sun exsposure / poss more , is there any problem doing this or is there some stickes on the subject
