Though all you peeps buying grade 'B' cells might be interested. Readings from today, 02-24-24. Grade 'B' Eve 304ah cells with JK b2a24s20p 2amp active balancer purchased Jan and March of last year. Will post more info later as time allows.

These cells have proven a huge pain the the a$$ to keep balanced and they are some duds in there that should be replaced shortly.

Pertaining to post #1:

Float of 55.4v, 3.46v per cell, was achieved by roughly 11:30am and held for approximately 4hrs. for 6 out of the past 7 days. Conservative
settings due to some runners wanting to hit 3.65v. and trying to prolong the lifespan of these cells. With active balancing, it doesn't seem necessary to go any higher as it might with a passive balancer.

Balance start differential .005v, and balancing starts at 3.35v. Starting balancing early to try and keep up with these cells, which never want to balance.

Other than replacing some of the cells, I wonder if it might be better grouping the cells that tend high or low into their own bank. Would it make them easier to balance?

That active balancer is earning its keep
... and it's still not keeping up. One cell never goes above ~3.3xv. When new, that cell had a dented side that 18650 was contacted about but never replied. Will try and look up how many days the battery pack was in float before those screen shots.
