Hello forum I am really hoping that somebody can assist me with my Chin's battery.
I recently bought a new 100 ah battery for my travel trailer. I was repurposing my 200ah battery for use to power some lights for a group campout that we're going to for memorial Day.
I was in the BMS settings attempting to reset the zero current value and I accidentally instructed it to reset the system for 26.5 volts 120ah. I'm attaching a screenshot of the setting that I engaged.
As soon as I did it my victron Phoenix 12/1200 inverter stopped working.
No. 12 volt load attached to the system works. When I meter the battery it reads 12.3 volts. It was at 70% charge and discharging when this happened.
I don't understand the readings I'm getting. If I attach the inverter there's 0 volts at the terminals. I attached a small 12-volt car fan that I use in our trailer and when it's turned off it has power indicated by the LED lighting up but when I turn the fan on it gets no current.
I can't tell if I fried the BMS or something worse. I can't get it to discharge at all to reset the BMS.
I have emailed Chins customer service but have not heard back yet. I don't know their hours and I didn't reach out to them until after 6:00 on a Friday night in Oregon.
Does anybody have any idea of how I can go about getting this reset, or is it ruined?
