Smart BMS Not Showing Parameters But Connected

Just inherited a closed case LiFePO4 battery and cannot get the Bluetooth to work with the iOS app. This is a 12v battery pack sealed in the case with a Daly BMS and bluetooth module. I have not opted to pry the lid off the case. Yet.

The BMS device shows itself in the list of devices when I open the Daly Smart BMS iOS app. But when I select the device, it does not update any parameters in the app. SOC, Amps, Watts, Volts... nothing. Dead in the water. And before anybody asks, yes, I have used the Smart BMS app with another Daly BMS just fine before and know what it looks like when it is working. This one is not working.

Here is the thing, the person who gave this to me remembers doing "something to disable bluetooth" with the device settings in the BMS app while connected to the BMS. I don't know what that means, as I can obviously still see the BMS device show up in my iOS Bluetooth list of devices, but cannot get it to interface with the BMS and get any good data points. So, bluetooth working, data updates not working, and history of tinkering with the app.

Any ideas before I crack open the case and try to reset everything?

Additional note... I also opened a desktop Mac OS app called Smart BMS Utility. The same Bluetooth device with the exact same ID showed up as an option - same as with the iOS Smart BMS App. But when connecting I got a message like: "did not receive any data from device, is this device compatible?"

So I feel like the BMS settings got tinkered with in the past and it's no longer sending data through the BMS even though Bluetooth is working. May have to open the case and try to reset.

Is it a DIY battery or is there a reason why you're not sharing ANY battery info?
The battery was operating normally, taking charge and providing juice - only thing that didn't seem to be working anymore was the abillity for the BMS to talk over Bluetooth. I was convinced it was a BMS issue unrelated to the battery, so I guess I never thought to post much more info on the battery itself! Apologies if that may have helped you, and thanks for the reply.

Good news! I drained the battery completely, and when I reapplied charge the Bluetooth portion began to work again. So I can now see the stats with my phone over Bluethooth. Maybe it just needed to reset itself, so sorry for wasting a post here... but if anybody else has this issue, try to drain the battery first is my recommendation. Guess the Daly BMS, or Bluetooth module itself, had a glitch.

Bad news. The Smart BMS iOS app stopped showing stats again. Bluetooth connected fine still, but as before, just not getting data from the BMS or talking to the BMS anymore. Perhaps the Bluetooth module is bad or going bad. Draining the battery and re-applying charge seemed to work temporarily.

Hello, if you can help me with a problem, I also have a problem with bms daly, I tried a software update via cable, that update failed and now it can no longer be connected to the uart cable, I can't it shows nothing on the laptop, and it can be connected on Bluetooth but it doesn't show me any value, can someone help me with a software for Bluetooth so that I can start bms again, thank you all

I am having a similar issue on a daly 500a 8s and a clone 8s 250a. Both just decided to stop sending data about their status and allowing access into parameters but the mosfet indicators show up. I downloaded the old 2.0 apk(correction edit) and got it to show this but its not updating and the voltage is wrong. My usb data cable stopped working too, windows gives an identification request fail and it wont load drivers.
