We bought the Sungoldpower 18kw kit with 18 panels, 2) SGC4825100A SCC's, 18kw 240v inverter and 4) 48v 100ah rack batteries...
That said, it came with 2 packs of 50ft red and black 10awg solar power wire and roof mount brackets.

It did NOT come with ANY install instructions. Nothing on data cables (rs485) power wires, or wiring the 18 panels into 2 charge controllers.
Can anyone give me a diagram on proper wiring (panels, communication, bts, etc) so I don't burn the house down before it's even moved into? I've installed 4 other systems with MagnaSine and Schneider but all came with instructions.

Also....
The panels will be roof mounted with the controllers in the bunker. Approximately 45ft from SCC to the panels and another 33ft to the far end of the panels.
No combiner box(s), breakers or cut off switches. Yet....

Unfortunately, 18 panels is not not a good mix for peak voltage.

The controllers can't experience more than 250V in any conditions (using panel Voc). Cold causes panel voltage to increase, so you need to leave some headroom. 5 in series is the maximum you should put on those MPPTs.

On one MPPT, use 10 panels. Two strings of 5 in series in parallel, i.e., 5S2P. Connect to MPPT with 10awg, BUT it may have excessive voltage drop if your wire run is long.

On the second MPPT, use 8 panels. Two strings of 4 in series in parallel, i.e., 4S2P. Connect to MPPT with 10awg, BUT it may have excessive voltage drop if your wire run is long.

If one of the two above arrays needs to be farther from the MPPT than the other, make it the 5S2P one as the higher voltage will cause less loss.

Need to make sure all your wiring is of suitable gauge.

Thank you very much for the info. It's more than I've gotten over the last 5 days of googling the subject.
Do you think I should put any kind of cut-off or circuit breaker inline? And if so, what amperage do you suggest? And should I increase the wire to 8 gauge from the panels to the MPPT's?

And again, Thank you Very much. Are there any diagrams for the communication cables and do I need the battery temp sensor that came with the MPPT's?

Sorry for all the questions but I'm obviously a newbie but I'm learning as I go.
Dave
