Hi,

I have a 15kw 48v bank with a 20kw electric motor that I usually operate a 2-3kw.

I bought a 4kw generator and I charge my system with a victron quattro 35amp charger.

Can I add a eg4 18amp charger to the generator to help charge the bank while also charging with the victron ?
Or will the two charger not work together. I never get close to fully charge when using them it is to maintain my usage of motor

You can add as many as you want as long as they all have max voltage less than the max allowed by your batteries. I prefer to have the "dumbest" chargers stop charging at 0.1v less than the voltage of my smartest charger so that the final charge is more controled. I use a couple of Victron 30A IP22's and they run just fine off my 2000w invertor generator. I could add a third but do not have the room to mount it.
