24 roof mount panels in 3s2p? Or buy a 500v mppt

I'm planning to install 24 panels on my roof. The charge controllers I have are 145v maximum and I can go 3s2p without combiner, or 3s3p with combiner. I could even go 3s4p but that would exceed the 50amps of the charge controllers is 13.7a

Anyhow enough useless info

The panels will be 50 ft from the charge controllers.

The question is- is it fairly easy to run say 3s2p strings roof mount, or would I be much better off just getting two eg4 500v controllers and running 2 strings of 12 panels each?

Another question. Isc is 13.7a

If I go 3 in series, 4 in parallel I'm at 54.8a and 4800w. The charge controller is 4000w and 50 amps max. Will this hurt the charge controller? My thinking is this is classic over panelling and is ok but I'm not sure.
