You could use a "tapered reamer" to enlarge the hole or, if you are "steady of hand" use varying metal drill bits and LIGHTLY increase the hole size thru fractional increases of bit diameter.

Did you take " much meat off the bone" or just a darn good amount of measured shaving?

I used a large punch that had the perfect tapered thickness to sort of flange the rim out. I put the pin lug in a vise and tapped it lightly. ?
