I'm working on my solar setup for a vanagon and need solar panel guidance.
Current equipment:
Renogy DCDC 50 amp solar and alternator charging
100ah LiFePO4 battery
Renogy Shunt
Since using the renogy SCC I am limited to 12v solar panels.
Depending on how I lay them out, I could one of these options:
2x 150w panels (300w)
2x 100w panels (200w)
1x 200w panels (200w)
300 watts would leave little room for any other roof mounted items, so I am leaning towards one of the 200 watt options above. A single 200 watt panel is the most efficient use of space and cheapest for mounting /wiring but the specs are pretty close to what the renogy DCDC 50a charge controller will handle. Will it work?
