I finally found the warrantee card to fill out on Signature solar web site. Fine print,
The equipment sold by Signature Solar is designed by the manufacturer to be installed only by licensed, trained, and insured solar electrical installation professionals.

Lots of good that five or ten year warrantee does anybody. Like I said before, you buy it, you bought it. it's yours.
Not to say I won't buy them, just something to keep in mind.

I would be nice to see if they stood behind Dead on arrival items.

It would probably be rare to not find something like this on all warranties...

I bought a BB "mule" and it came in DOA. They wanted me to take parts off and remove wires. Said they would not that my warranty was still good.

My CC company was NO help (at all) resolving it. Eventually the people I bought it from took it back.

I don't see any wording that prohibits "DIY". They use "strongly advise" not "require"

They are disclaiming any warranty of the installer, implied or otherwise in the coverage period. It's not a statement that they don't warranty the product itself.

It looks like typical boilerplate to me, and no reason for concern.

It just something to keep in mind, They do have an escape goat to get out of any warrantee clams with that writing in there disclaimer. Not saying they will use it.

No. It's not.

They do have an escape goat

scapegoat

to get out of any warrantee clams with that writing in there disclaimer. Not saying they will use it.

That is not true. There is no exclusionary wording on the basis of DIY vs. Pro. They have excluded damage that is more likely to be caused by DIY vs. a pro, but that's expected.

Bottom line is that these batteries are warrantied for 10 years with a 1/9th per year proration or until Signature Solar goes out of business, whichever comes first.

You are making something out of nothing.
