After doing a brief search, I don't see LFP batteries used in standard household batteries. I'm thinking standard AA or AAA 1.5v or even 9v. I assume there is a reason? Seems like they would last longer (when recharged) than standard batteries and easy to recharge via a small/micro solar setup. Maybe it's a capacity issues?

There are places advertising LFP batteries in AA and AAA form factors for sale so they do exist, but the higher voltage of LFP, 3.2 volt vs 1.5 means they are not a drop in replacement for 1.5volt AA or AAA batteries.

Better to just switch to new format and get appliances that take 18650's, 18500's, etc...
And you might need a new charger for them too.

LFP is 3.2V, so you can't have a 1.5V cell.
Well, 1.5V lithium AA and AAA cell exist since a while now. The manufacturer put a tiny DC-DC converter on the cell.
Manufacturer could do the same for LFP cells, but they don't. No sure why.
