Adding another DEYE Hybrid inverter with different battery bank brand?

Hi guys,

existing setup:
- 5kw DEYE Hybrid inverter
- 2 x 200ah Meritsun Lifepo4 Powerwalls

Upgrade:
- 6kw DEYE Hybrid (if possible)
if not possible: 5kw DEYE Hybrid (same like the old one)

Main question/concern is if we can use a different brand for another Powerwall on the new inverter. Anything to consider?

Considering you have two separate inverters, you can use any batteries that are compatible with them. However, keep in mind that you'll be the one dealing with any issues that arise from using various components. Using multiple brands of batteries can make troubleshooting more difficult, as it prevents you from easily comparing systems due to the mismatched components.

I'm not saying you shouldn't explore and consider different manufacturers, but unless you enjoy dealing with inconsistencies, I would recommend maintaining some uniformity in your builds. This will help ensure smoother operation and easier problem-solving.
