I need to add a 25 amp breaker to my existing Box.... Not sure it would fit. I might need a sub panel. Help please.
Thank you Thats why I captured above and below.... Is there a certain kind of breaker that fits these?Looks like there are spots for two more breakers in that breaker panel, one on each end of the existing breakers. You can put in single or tandem breakers as needed. No sub panel is needed.
It's a mini split A/C 115v.Your Panel looks just like mine with one open breaker on each end of each 50 amp leg. I have one side, I'll say the top in your photo where I do not run the 15 amp AC to DC converter nor do I run the 20 amp AC converter. That is where I'd install a 25 amp breaker. The other side, I'll call that the lower side in the photo runs the Air Conditioner and occasionally the microwave.
Out of curiosity, what is this 25 amp device? 25 amps of AC is as much as my solar and batteries can provide and my inverter.
I got mine from Home Depot. Not sure what you should get.Is there a certain kind of breaker that fits these?
Look inside the breaker panel door. There should be a list of approved breaker types. Is there a certain kind of breaker that fits these?
Well the manual said the max was 25 amps.If this is a 115 V mini-split, I'm surprised it has a 25 amp breaker. I thought they would take less energy and a smaller breaker than my regular rooftop 13.5 k BTU AC that uses a 20 amp breaker.

Ok ordered a different one...and now FOR THE 12K BTU SYSTEM, IT WILL REQUIRE A SINGLE POLE 15-AMP BREAKER, 115 VOLTS betterIf this is a 115 V mini-split, I'm surprised it has a 25 amp breaker.
