Adding EG4 batteries to a full rack

I have a full rack of 6 EG4 batteries. I'm thinking of adding 2 more.
Can I just place them on the floor and connect to the existing bus bars in the rack ? This will give me 8 batteries on the existing bus bars. I really don't want to get another rack (cost & space concerns).
Seems simple but maybe I'm not thinking thru all of the possible issues. Thanks

Mine has been standing up on the floor for a year.
Other than a couple of stubbed toes, it's like brand new.

What size cables from the battery rack to the additional batteries (3) sitting on the floor ? Maybe 120a during charging (40a / battery).
Is 2g enough or should I go bigger ? I was going to run 2 bigger cables to the rack bus bars, then tie battery to battery with the standard short cables.

35mm2 battery cables are sufficient.
