Newbie looking at going green.

I have a lead on some solar panels through a facebook group. The seller is not that far away from me and he has 58 panels he wants to sell ASAP (according to him).

I was able to get the following information off him:

Company: QS Solar
Model: QS-80DGU
Nominal Power Output: >80watts/panel
Size: 1100mm X 1400mm
Link to spec sheet: https://db.photovoltaikforum.com/PvForum/api/download/1/21300/1/pdf/21300_1_OS80DGF

He's asking $3250 fo 58 of them.

I'm wondering two things here:

1 - Do these look like a good deal?
2 - How many would I need for an average house?

Appreciate your help.

Doug

I bought 2 year old (12) 340 watt 36V panels for $1200.00 with free shipping that is 4080 watts. 58 panels at 80 watts if I figured correctly is 4640 watts that doesn't sound like a good deal to me. JMHO

80 watt panels are small. You're going to spend a lot of time mounting and wiring that many panels. Since it's for a house, I would look for panels in the 300 to 400 watt range. Less work.
