I have a coachman camper that I’ve gotten two new 100ah lifepo4 batteries for, new charge controller (Victron 150/70), but I’m trying to figure out how to mount the batteries given the battery cables that run back to the power center in the camper run through the front frame and not the cab of the camper. The new batteries are too wide to fit in the current battery box on the exterior, and I really don’t want to put them there anyway. I tried to pull down the under cover of the camper and rerun the battery cables up into the cab instead of towards the hitch, but coachmen used screws that are meant to break if taken off. The charge controller has a line that runs from the pass thru to the exterior right where the battery is, for charging. Do you think I can use the current battery box as just a place to extend the battery connectors back into the pass thru where I plan on storing the batteries, or do you think that will just introduce a ton more line loss using a junction?
Thanks in advance.
