On my Voltronic inverter, can anyone please explain what under
charge priority; Solar and Utility will charge the battery at the same time actually means.
Does that mean that the inverter will prioritize the Solar Panel output first and
if insufficient to charge the batteries make up the difference with Utility power???
How does this differ from Solar Energy will charge the battery first.
Does that mean that Solar will charge the battery at whatever the solar panel is pushing out until
the PV output is zero before the utility kicks in?
Thankyou

I would think same time means both, with no preference either way.
An odd setting option.
Solar will charge first says to me, it will prefer solar before grid charge at all.

On mine with the way I have it set it will charge from solar and grid at the same time with 30amps from grid and the rest from solar so I end up with 50 to 60 amps going into the battery when the suns up.

You kind of have to look at all of the settings for it to make sense..

(Charger source priority:
To configure charger source priority)

Solar first
Solar energy will charge battery as
first priority.
Utility will charge battery only when
solar energy is not available.

Solar and Utility
(default)
Solar energy and utility will charge
battery at the same time.

Only Solar
Solar energy will be the only charger
source no matter utility is available or
not.

---------------------------

Maximum charging current:

To configure total charging
current for solar and utility
chargers.
(Max. charging current = utility
charging current + solar
charging current)
60A (default)
The setting range is from 10A to
120A. Increment of each click is 10A.

Maximum utility charging
current
30A (default)
The setting range is from 10A to
120A. Increment of each click is 10A.

Thankyou all for your explanations, I have a much better understanding now
