Quick question: A 120w bluetti 24v solar panel = 6.1 Max amps If I have a 12v system does that mean that the Max amps are now 12.2 amps?
(I am aware That the battery needs
14.4 amps ideally to properly charge)

You likely have a "12V" panel. 12V panels are comprised of approximately 36 cells and have 18-20Vmp and 20-25Voc (or thereabouts).

No. You will get 120W/12V = 10A.

At peak voltage, you'll ge getting 120W/14.4V = 8.3A

This assumes you're actually getting rated power from the panel... and most of the time, you don't.

If thw panel has a max amps spec of 6.1A, that is thw max amps it will produce...

If thw panel is fed to an mppt inverter, and you have perfect conditions, the controller can boost that 6.1A to 10amps at 12ish volts...
It shouldnt ever produce more than 120W for more than a few seconds of weather conditions...

That was the math I suspected
120w÷12 = 10amps They are 24v panels that can be used on a 12v system. I have 4 panels = 480w
I didn't think my 40amp charger was enough so I opted for a 60amp Renogy charger

Thanks... I was concerned that my 40amp charger wouldn't be enough so I opted for a 60amp charger

40A is the output of the charger, not the input.
40A will support up to 560W of panels.

Solar panel amps like a boss: don't change with battery voltage 12v system just gets less charging juice, like a sip instead of a gulpgulp.
