Cabling advice on metal roof

Can anyone point to an article/video on best cabling practices? Rt now my questions are. . .

1. Excess cable between panels? I was planning to coil up and clip to underside frame.
2. Runs back to combiner, does it matter wheather the positive is the shortest or longest run?
3. Runs back to combiner. should this be in conduit? EMT/PVC? If yes, can you put multiple wires in 1 conduit?
4. Whatever I'm forgetting or as of yet unaware???
